I’m in Thailand on a multi-entry non-o based on marriage. Stamped in until April. If I was to get divorced do I have to leave immediately or by my stamp date?

First off are you on a year-long, multi-entry Non-O visa <- which you got at a thai consulate in another country and which you bounce in and out of the country on every 90 days ?

If you are and get divorced it doesn't affect the visa in the least. You can continue to bounce out and back on it getting new 90 day entry stamps until the visa itself expires

thanks. Definitely on the 90 day that I bought from the Canadian embassy. So it’s ok to come back into Thailand in April and show them that e-visa and get another 90 day stamp? I was thinking I would have to come back visa exempt.

when does the eVisa itself expire (the valid until date on the PDF) not the current 90 day stamp you're on

you can bounce out and back all you want until the visa itself expires and each time you get stamped in for 90days, even if you stamp back in the last day that eVisa is valid for you'll get a new 90 day entry stamp.

Most people get 15 months of stay out of those year long visas (in 90 day stays)

On the other hand if by some mix up in terminology you're actually on a year long "extension of stay" based on marriage that you got from the immigration office inside the country where you do 90 day reporting. The second you sign the divorce papers at the Amphur you're obligated to go to the immigration office, cancel your current extension based on marriage and either leave, OR apply for another yearly extension (like based on raising children, retirement, etc)

i wanted to put both possibilities because people mistakenly call a year extension inside the country with a multiple re-entry permit a "multi-entry-Non-O" 😮
