Hi, I have a German Passport and am currently in Thailand on an 90 days Non-Immigrant Visa, Type „O“, single Entry. For obvious reasons I would like to extend my stay. Any chance to extend the visa, get new visa without Visa-Border-run? If Border-Run necessary, does it make difference if I go by plane to Kuala Lumpur or by bus to Myamar? How much extension can I get at all? Thanx!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about extending their 90-day Non-Immigrant Visa Type O, single entry, for a German passport holder in Thailand. They seek information on extending the visa without a border run, alternatives to border runs (by plane to Kuala Lumpur or bus to Myanmar), and how long of an extension can be obtained. Responses clarify that the Non-Immigrant O visa can typically be extended for 2 months at the immigration office, and detailed options for maintaining a longer stay are discussed, including the possibility of obtaining a 30-day visa exempt entry through a border run.

it is actually an 'application of extension denied" 7 day stamp that gives you a week to leave thailand and costs 1900baht
You're better off going to the border, stamping out of thailand, stamping in and out of another country and stamping right back into thailand to get a NEW 30 day visa exempt entry stamp
Sorry for the confusion. And thanks for reopening. I got the visa because i am 59. Did not have to say/prove if retired or not, just show I have enough money on my account
you cannot "extend the visa". You could only receive the "extension of permit of stay" if you meet the requirements for a 1-year extension as described by Robert and Tod, above. If you don't meet the requirements, the only way of staying in Thailand for yet another while, is by getting a tourist visa on any embassy or consulate in a neighbouring country, or by doing a border run which will get you a 30-day visa exempt entry
Then you visit your Immigration Office, ask the hand out for the 1 year Extension of Stay based on being over 50 years of age and make the copies, tick the list and when all done apply for this extension.
You COULD get a year extension ONLY by meeting the financial requirement of 800K baht in a thai bank account for 2 months BEFORE you apply for the extension.
Other than that there is no extension available to you unless you're married to a thai national :(
