Can you renew your NON O visa before the official end date ?

I will be out of the country at the time it expires and plan to return the week after. I don't have time to do a border run in the meantime due to work commitments

.Any advice is greatly appreciated.

TLDR : Answer Summary
You cannot renew a visa, but you can apply for a 1-year Extension of Stay during the last 30 days of your NON O visa. This application must be made at Immigration and requires meeting specific conditions based on the reason for the visa.

not sure what you mean, but you can not renew a visa.

If you do not have time to leave the country, you can apply during the last 30 days of your stay for an 1 year Extension of Stay at Immigration IF you can meet the requirements. These requirements differ on the reason why this visa is issued.
