TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, it is possible to convert a Tourist visa to a Non-Imm B visa without leaving Thailand, provided certain requirements are met. Applicants need to check if their company can meet documentation requirements and ensure they have at least 15 days remaining on their current visa. If eligible, they can apply directly at the immigration office. However, success depends on both individual and company circumstances.
you have the requirements needed to do an in country conversion from a 30 day visa exempt entry or a 60 day tourist visa entry to a 90 day Non-B without making the trip to the immigration office.
I'd say give those sheets to whoever pushes paper for you where you're employed and see if they can meet the requirements so you can do the Non-B in country. If not, I see another trip to a thai consulate in your near future ;)
Good Luck

Page 1. Might be helpful. Solely depends if you and your company qualifies to submit all these docs.
only the immigration's one stop service center at cham churi square is for BOI & IEAT companies. Chaengwattana doesn't deal with them at all.

Just Curious, Chaeng wattana does not deal with BOI, do they ? its only at chamchuri square ?

^ PS. I got this list from Chaeng Wattana. Sometimes requirements across different immigration offices vary. Immigration doesn't care if I'm company's director or not. They usually stick by list. Luck!
I'd say GO to the immigration office, get the hand out that lists the requirements and see if your company can even meet the documentation requirements to get an in country 90 day Non-B visa.
Many companies can't do it, and thats why they send their employees out of the country to get the visa from a thai consulate instead

If your Immigration Office can stamp the Non B visa in your passport, it will be for 90 days. After 60 days you apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay and when stamped in, you apply directly for the multiple Re-Entry Permit.
don't confuse applying for a work permit (which you do BEFORE you get a visa usually) with anything to do with the extension. By the time you apply for a yearly extension you'll have the work permit.
Most people have the WP3 receipt that their company applied for a work permit for them BEFORE they go to a thai consulate to get their 90 day Non-B visa.

So what you seem to be saying is 45 days (more or less) after you get your WP, you apply for the 1 year extension

I was told by the Labour Office today that you must apply for the WP within 15 days of receiving the Non Imm B visa ... otherwise you have to start the process again

That is totally going to depend on the company you work for and if they can meet the documentation in country to go from a 30 day visa exempt entry or a tourist visa entry to a 90 day Non-B visa.
Your best bet is have someone from your company go out to the immigration office (if it's in Bangkok it's section C-2) and get the hand out that lists the requirements.
In bangkok you need 15 days remaining on your current stamp to apply for an in-country Non-B visa.

Thanks This is useful a I am doing the same. I will renew/Extend my visa exam0t for 20 days which should be sufficient time for the Associate company to submit application for a Non-B Visa and apply for a working permit.
i did mention you could do it off a 30 day visa exempt entry OR a 60 day tourist visa entry IF you meet the requirements and IF you have at least 15 days left on your current stamp. <-because it goes under consideration for 14 days before you go back to get the Non-B and the new 90 day stamp inked into your passport.
