TLDR : Answer Summary
When you complete the TDAC process for entering Thailand, you typically do not need to present it on your smartphone or as a printed document upon arrival. Immigration can verify your TDAC status by scanning your passport. However, it's advisable to have access to the QR code in case there are issues accessing the record. Some travelers reported that they were not asked for the TDAC by immigration or airlines during their arrival.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

Just have access to the QR code incase they say they can't find the record or something, otherwise they won't ask you for anything. They will access your TDAC record via your passport number.

No one asked for anything the other day wit regards the TDAC..no airline or no immigration .

Remember to check the stamp they give you ..mine was stamped in for 60 instead of 90

Got it sorted at the airport ,there and then

@Jamie *****
there is only 60 days unless it's a longer term visa. The other 30 is by extension at the end.
Jamie ******
@Russell *******
it was a longer visa ..even though that was stated on the tdac and the officer confirmed that when I went back to correct the stamp ,,,still check your stamp is what I’m suggesting to people….wasnt such a big deal at Don Muang as there was very few people there when I arrived ,,might have been more stressful at bigger airports

They missed that you had a single entry Non-imm visa?

Once you do the TDAC you have the option to download it OR to have it sent to an email address

When you stamp in they're not asking for the paper print out of it, or to even to see it on your smart phone,

they can tell when they scan your passport if you filed one

@Tod ********
absolutely correct. I just returned to Thailand yesterday entering through Suvarnabhumi. The Thai authorities did not ask to see anything. So, I am assuming they could see I had already completed my TDAC via scanning my passport.

@Brock ********
yep, when they scan your passport it shows on their screen wither you filed a TDAC or not

I am still assuming that Thailand is still 60 days for visa free/waiver for UK tourist but the TDAC info I am seeing says valid for 30 days. I will be there for 32 days so will I need to do another one after 30 days to cover the last 2 days? Thanks.

There has been NO change to the 60 day visa exempt entry program. Since July 15th 2024, it's been that way for 90+ countries

You come in and get stamped in for 60 days,

You have to file a TDAC within the 3 days before you arrive here <- meaning you can file one from 3 days before you travel right on down to when you arrive here

There is no "do another one" of anything. It's an ARRIVAL card, so you do it when you arrive and then you can stay 60 days from the entry stamp 🙂

have airlines been asking for a paper print out or to see it on your phone?
Tod *********
@Ryan *******
i heard that some airlines have been asking people IF they did it,

but

there is no requirement to have it done because you can file it after you land here before you stamp in at the airport in the arrival hall

Thai Airways asked me if I had done it, before boarding me from Copenhagen to Bangkok on 7th May. They didn't ask to see it. Just asked.

When arriving in Thailand, going through the Thai passport passport control (not using the foreign passport control because I was with my Thai family) they did want to see it on my phone.

I guess it may vary.

my flight (Thai airways) Perth to Bangkok earlier this month they asked at check in IF TDAC had been completed, and pointed to a printed flyer listing the website and steps to complete TDAC.

Immigration officer at Bangkok didn't want to see the TDAC QR code, email, etc as could already see it in the system after scanning my passport.

only fill out the things that have the red asterisks next to them,

Don't even click on the area that says "Departure" (from thailand) as it's not required.

Even if you don't get it filed within the 3 days before you come here, you can do it in the arrival hall at the Kiosks they have set up for people who didn't file before they came

Safe travels
