TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a re-entry stamp on your retirement visa before traveling to the UK, you need your passport and a fee. You can pay 1000 baht at the immigration office or 1200 baht at the airport. If you choose to buy the permit at Suvarnabhumi Airport, go to "Departure 2" after the security check but before the Immigration counters.

you can buy a single re-entry permit at your immigration for 1000.- THB, or buy it at the Suvarnabhumi Airport in section "Departure 2", after the security check but still before the Immigration counters

Your passport and 1200 baht at the airport or bring all your paperwork and it’s 1000 baht
Use Departures 2 and it's at the bottom of the escalator after security and before the Immigration desks

It’s to the left of passport control in BKK in DMK it’s just past passport control so make sure you tell the IO that you need a re entry ,have a good trip
