TLDR : Answer Summary

To cancel a work permit in Thailand, you must do so at the Ministry of Labor where it was originally applied for. While a visa cannot be canceled, if you have an Extension of Stay based on your work, you need to visit the specific Immigration office indicated on the top of your Extension stamp to complete the cancellation.

you cancel the work permit at the Ministry of Labor where your employer applied for it and you collected it. You can not cancel a visa but if you have the Extension of Stay based on working inside Thailand, the big stamp from Immigration you visit the Immigration office mentioned on top of the stamp to cancel this.
