I plan to come to Thailand in December on a 60 day TR e-visa then head to Vietnam for 30 days. At the end of my time in Vietnam I plan to return to Thailand for 60 days. My question is can I apply for the two Thailand visas ahead of time or can you only have one outstanding e-visa at a time?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of applying for two Thailand e-visas in advance, specifically a 60-day TR e-visa before traveling to Vietnam and then returning for another 60 days. The comments suggest that generally, only one e-visa can be outstanding at a time due to validity rules. They also discuss recent changes to visa exemption policies which may allow longer stays without a visa based on nationality, as well as the option for a Multiple Entry Visa.

There is a Multiple Entry Visa available.

Depending on your nationality (passport) a 60 day entry to Thailand does not necessarily require a visa as (from 1-Oct) you may get 45 days visa exempt entry which can be extended once in country for a further 30 days. You could use this for your re-entry. What nationality is your passport?

Don't forget from 1st October if your eligible for 30 days on arrival you will get 45 and can extend by 30 days (tbc), so maybe you'll not need the visa?

Only one as most visas are only valid for 90 days upon issue
