Hi all, my STV visa is almost finished and need to leave Thailand soon. I want to stay around 9 more months and travel to nearby countries too. Is it possible to get 60 day Tourist Visa 3 times during 1 year? They won't be suspicious?

My plan is to go to Vietnam for 7 days get 60 day TR visa + 30 day extension, then visit Cambodia for 7 days get 60 day TR visa + 30 day extension and last trip to Laos for 7 days same 60 day + 30 extension.

I am just not sure if I will be able to get so many TR Visas. Any advices?๐Ÿ˜

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on the feasibility of obtaining multiple 60-day Tourist Visas (TR) while traveling in Southeast Asia after their STV visa expires. Their plan involves visiting Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos, each for 7 days, followed by requesting a 60-day TR visa and a subsequent 30-day extension for each country. A commenter shares their experience of needing to balance the number of visa applications to avoid complications, suggesting that while 2-3 applications may be acceptable, exceeding this could raise concerns with immigration authorities.

I used VOA's in August, October, December and March. In March they had a problem with it at the airport and said this would be the last time I could get it as it's not meant to be used for people "living" here. I think 2-3 times in a given year is okay but more than that you run the risk of having problems.

no, there's a limit of 2 visa exempt entries BY LAND per year, but no limit on entries by air.

That being said, immigration will start asking questions if you keep using visa exempt back to back to back and maxing out the stay each time.

With tourist visas the 2 per year by land is not a rule, only visa exempt

you did not use visa on arrival, you use visa exempt.
