Apologies if this has been asked before.

If i arrive in BKK on a 30 day visa free, would it be ok to book a return flight for 60 days and get a 30 day extension? I was worried about the immigration officer checking my return flight. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about entering Thailand on a 30-day visa-exempt entry and whether it would be acceptable to book a return flight for 60 days later, along with extending their stay for an additional 30 days. Multiple comments indicate that it's essential to check with the airline regarding their policies on onward travel. Some suggest booking a cheap refundable flight to satisfy airline requirements, while others note that immigration officers will typically not question the return flight as long as the airline accepts it.

If your airline carrier requires a 'ticket out' within 30 days, you can book a cheap fully refundable flight to wherever outside of Thailand and cancel it on your arrival

It's not passport control here when you stamp in you have to worry about. They are almost always okay with onward travel 60 days out entering on a free 30 day visa exempt entry

It's the AIR CARRIER bringing you here because you're flying to thailand without a visa many carriers require proof of onward travel within the number of days you will stamp in for (30) or they won't let you board your flight.

CHECK with your air carrier, if they're okay with you flying with onward travel 60 days out you'll be fine once you get here
