Hi all,

Just a quick query regarding TR60. I am currently in the UK but planning a trip to Taiwan before later heading into Thailand. My question is, can I apply for a TR60 in the UK before leaving and activate in Thailand after arriving from Taipei? Or does the embarkment point have to be the country at which the visa was issued?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about applying for a TR60 visa while in the UK and activating it in Thailand, arriving from Taiwan. Responses indicated that Thailand does not restrict entry based on the visa's issuance location as long as the visa is valid. However, the embassy might require proof of a flight to Thailand from the UK. One commenter noted their experience with an embassy accepting a flight itinerary from Indonesia to Thailand, suggesting potential flexibility.

Using the US embassy, I applied for and received a visa showing a flight from Indonesia to Thailand. My situation is little complicated and my not apply to you but there seems to be flexibility about what they will accept for flight to Thailand.

Thailand doesn't care where you come from, as long as your visa is valid.

But the embassy will likely require you to upload a flight to Thailand from the UK. Whether they will accept a flight from UK to Taiwan and then from Taiwan to Thailand is up to them. You may need to contact the embassy in London and ask.
