Hi guys, I’m sorry if this has already been asked already but I couldn’t find the answer I was looking for! For the 60 day tourist visa how do I go about applying for this when I am from the UK? I am travelling back home so do I need to go to the Thai embassy in the UK or can I just apply online? Will I also require proof of onwards travel? Thank you so much in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a 60-day tourist visa to Thailand while in the UK, you can either visit the nearest Thai embassy or consulate in person or apply online through the adapted eVisa system. Most applications require proof of onward travel, so ensure you have your tickets ready. It is advisable to check the specific requirements on the website of the Thai Embassy for detailed instructions.

I got my 60 day visa in the Thai consulate closest to me - Hull. It was quite easy, check on line first to find your nearest and ensure you have the necessary documentation before going.

, it's not because "just easier", it's because the embassies/consulates would NOT accept application in person (unless they specifically state special conditions) once they adopt eVisa system as Brandon mentioned above. UK is one of the countries that implemented eVisa system.

you're not allowed to go in person anymore since evisa was adopted

You are supposed to apply for your visa to Thailand at the Royal Thai Embassy/Consulate-General in the country where you are currently staying.

Thai embassy in UK adapted eVisa system, you can apply for your Single Entry Tourist Visa online when you are back to UK.

Most embassies require you to provide the tickets in/out Thailand for SETV application. Online or in person.

Check the website of the Thai Embassy/Consulate in the country where you are as of application date for detail requirements for SETV application there.
