TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of applying for a tourist visa while holding an unused Non-B visa, raising questions about the intent and rationale behind not utilizing the current visa.

What is the reason you don't want to use the 90 day single entry Non-B visa? I mean once it's issued whether you quit or not the visa is valid and you can come and spend the 90 days on it you're allotted.

Multiple entry Non-B seems to be more lucrative. I could use it all year with 90 days entry each time. Embassy staff told me that its available to super-business-men.

So you're outside of thailand now, with a single entry 90 day Non-B visa in your passport BUT you don't want to enter the country and use it?

I would say WHEN you apply for the tourist visa at the thai consulate I'd have the void the Non-B visa.
