hello, I have been in Thailand nearly 6 months with tourist visa then I did extension and after visa run, I did it twice, now I need to go Lao for double entrance visa. Do you think I would have any problems at immigration...I heard that they are more strict now. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The person is concerned about potential problems at Thai immigration due to their history of multiple visa runs and extensions. They plan to obtain a new visa in Laos, specifically inquiring about the acceptance of a double entry visa, but it is noted that this type of visa is no longer available. Comments suggest that obtaining a single entry tourist visa from the Thai consulate in Vientiane should be straightforward, and it is generally believed that they will not encounter issues re-entering Thailand.

But do you think that they are going to make things difficult when will see my passport with many visa runs?

you are better off crossing by land. Look into flying to Udon Thani airport, it's a cheap flight from Chiang Mai or Bangkok (or indeed Phuket, Pattaya or Hat Yai) as it's internal and then it's just an hour on a minibus direct from the airport to the Laos border. Usually substantially cheaper than flying to Vientiane, and less risk on return.

and in the border they don't question about anything?

you run the risk of being questioned by the immigration officers at the airport, they can ask for proof of 20K baht in funds.

Although usually people are not questioned, just know you could be

I was planning to fly, would it be easier?

nope, not as long as you cross in via the Nong Khai land border, they won't say a thing to you.

You can get a single entry tourist visa in lao that will get you stamped into the country for 60 days when you enter. I don't know what you mean when you said you needed to go to Lao and get a "double entrance visa".

They no longer sell double entry tourist visas. :/

You can get a single entry tourist visa from the thai consulate in vientiane.

You shouldn't have a problem getting back into thailand at the Nong Khai border or getting the visa from the thai consulate in Vientiane
