ORIGINAL POSTER
My Thai tourist visa (purchased at the Thai embassy in Vientiane) will be completed (90 days) April 28. I need to stay a little longer. Can I get a second Thai tourist visa in Vientiane at the Thai embassy? Thanks. I'm a US citizen wth a normal (not diplomatic) passport.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on whether they can obtain a second Thai tourist visa at the Thai embassy in Vientiane before their current 90-day visa expires on April 28. They have received suggestions regarding potential difficulties in obtaining a consecutive tourist visa at the embassy, along with alternatives like border bouncing for a visa-exempt entry. However, the user's lack of response to follow-up questions regarding their specific situation has left many uncertainties, including details about how long they wish to extend their stay.

It's clear that the OP has not replied to any of our comments.

I wish her success in whatever she's trying to do.

There's no 90-day tourist visa. When did you enter the country?

I can get a 90 day tourist visa while still in Canada for Thailand.

I'm trying to figure out if she actually stayed for 90 days like her post makes it sound like. If so, she's on a month overstay. She said nothing about an extension.

I think he means 60 days single entry tourist visa and a 30 days extension.

I remember you now. Asked many questions previously and rarely answered back. Your recent history in Thailand will play a part in the best solution for you. How long is a little longer as well?

How long is a little longer? You could border bounce and get a free 30 day visa exempt entry stamp (also extendable)

Just checking, Apr 28th is the stamp admitted until date in your passport not the last day your visa is valid for entry?

Not likely to get another Thai tourist visa in Vientiane Laos. Back to Back Thai Tourist Visas are difficult to get at any SE Asian Thai Embassy or Consulate.

You should have obtained the METV multiple entry tourist visa in your home country before you flew to Thailand.

With planning it can get you up to 9 months stay in Thailand with a few simple land border crossing entries.

Suggest you ask an experienced border run service company IF they think you would be successful in getting a second Thai Tourist Visa back to back.

IF not... then Suggest you ask them to take you on a same day BORDER BOUNCE to get a NEW 30 day stamp as Visa Exempt Entry into Thailand.

That can be extended One time for 30 ADDED days at your local Thai Immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.

You can do a maximum of 2 LAND BORDER BOUNCE entries into Thailand EACH CALENDAR YEAR.

When did you first enter Thailand with a Thai tourist visa

In 2023?

So you bought a Thai tourist visa at Vientiane...

So you MUST have entered Thailand before... Hmmmmm ๐Ÿค” with extension???

DO YOU HAVE a recent history of staying in Thailand with the use of Thai Visas and extensions?

Just how long is..."I want to stay a little longer " ???

I believe she's retirement age, does she need to show the funds to get the non O visa inside Thailand?

she's NOT answering. NO need to reply further until she does answer. She's clearly been in Thailand longer than a recent Thai tourist visa she obtained from Vientiane.

UNTIL she responds all we are doing is guessing.
