I am currently living in Bangkok(long term) on Non-O visa and hold US passport. I just did my visa extension based on Non-O marriage*60 days) this week and will need to leave Thailand in early Dec. I am thinking of going to Tokyo, Japan to apply for Thai Visa Non-O at the Thai consulate. It's possible and has anyone done this before recently?
Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user currently holds a Non-O visa in Bangkok and is considering traveling to Tokyo to apply for a Non-O visa. However, comments suggest that applying in Japan is generally difficult without residency status. Additionally, many believe it is more practical to seek assistance from an agent instead.

Unless you have a Japanese residency card or in a military overseas placement, you cannot apply in Japan.
Even Japanese residents need to apply in the area they live in.
Residency cards can only be applied for after living in the country for a minimum of 6 months

I doubt anyone will answer you. No one goes that far just to get a new visa, they go to a neighboring country. Plus Japan has been closed for years so there wouldn't be any recent reports.
