TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is a French passport holder currently in India who wants to travel to Thailand for about two months. They are exploring options on entering Thailand without a visa, which allows a 30-day stay, and the possibility of extending their stay by another 30 days at a local immigration office. They seek advice on how to handle visa requirements, especially regarding the need for exit tickets and document translations, given their current location and circumstances.

You need a ticket to go out of Thailand after 30 days if you have no visa. Just to come in. But if i stay longer and get the extention i need to buy a new fly ticket to go out after 60days and have to trow away the other one. Dont know how to explain it better

Troy Rockwell if i go without visa i need ticket out after 30 ore 45 days when i go in. But if i extend my stay i need a new ticket to go out later . So then i buy the ticket to go out for nothing . And need a new one.

Like I say with friends and people going to India.

Just tell them you're a tourist. Who cares about income and other things like that.

Show them you have money, you don't have to show them where it comes from.

If you want to come to Thailand and stay longer term, get the 60-day tourist Visa, which you can extend for 30 days towards the end. But if you like it after one month then start looking at a long term Visa.

If you only want to stay for 2 months, then go without a visa.

If you arrive after October 1st you will stamped in for 45 days visa exempt, and you can apply for ONE 30 day extension at a local immigration office to wherever you are staying. That gives you a total of 75 days in Thailand.

just your passport to get into Thailand. You'll need a little more for extension
