I have a visa extension to do on Feb. 27th for 30 days, so can I safely assume that I will have to leave Thailand on March 29th (30 days after)? Thank you.

brings up a good point, the DAY you apply for the 30 day extension has NOTHING to do with when that extension runs out

They ADD the 30 day extension to your current expiration date <- meaning there is NO need to wait to the last day to get your extension because you won't lose any days going early.

When is your current stay valid to? The extension will be added to your current stay, not the day you apply for it.

My plan is leave on 27th - Thai Consulate is open

on next day Thurs and collect new visa on Fri and fly out later. Thank you.

Go tomorrow morning for the Extension of Stay and all will be clear as the stamp is in your passport.

I try. You're visa is stamped used and became invalid on your day of entry. You got a new stamp Admitted to Stay with mention your day of arrival and the Admitted to Stay

Thanks, you do not have to wait till the last day, the Extension of Stay is added to your last day and is 30 days.
