TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the possibility of applying for a long stay tourist visa in Thailand before their non-B visa expires. According to responses, it is typically not possible to obtain a tourist visa from within Thailand; these are usually issued at Thai consulates in other countries. One suggested alternative is to apply for a 60-day COVID extension before the non-B visa expires as a short-term solution.

nope that's not gonna be an option :/ You got a 90 day non-B visa right? and the 90 days is up at the beginning of feb?

You can't get tourist visas inside the country you buy those in other countries from thai consulates before you come here :O

Short term your option is to apply for a 60 day covid extension before the 29th of Jan (the day the police order runs out allowing them). Then once you get that you need to look at other long stay options.

You should be able to go from a Non-B visa to an Elite tourist visa inside Thailand, assuming you don't have any excessive overstays. Contact the elite visa company at
