If I want to apply for the medical visa and/ or extension, and I now have an M-type visa so I go to Chomchurree 1-stop office on Rama 4, would I apply for the extension or med visa at 1-stop office or have to go to Changwattana?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry is about whether a person holding an M-type visa can apply for a medical visa or an extension at the Chomchuri 1-stop office or if they need to go to the Chaengwattana office. Comments indicate uncertainty around the procedures for changing visa types and extensions, highlighting the possibility that applications for a medical extension might need to be handled at Chaengwattana, and suggesting that immigration officers have discretion over these matters.

That is something I guess you're gonna hafta check on yourself. Never heard anyone going from an extension off a type M visa to a medical extension.

Just to be clear, when you say extension you mean the annually renewed M-type visa after getting the sticker-format master visa. That right?

I think the medical extension would be done at Chaengwattana because they have a medical are (in the 90 day report room Section A) that handles those.. BUT I bet they'd have you cancel your extension from Cham Churi.

I don't know, and that's why I said you'd have to find out on your own sorry

so it seems I have to leave the country for a Non-M, right? I was hoping to be able to take care of it here. No way to do that?

I see your surgery is elective, and 4-5 weeks recuperation, BUT would you be unfit to travel? That is the only way you would get a medical extension
