Hi all, after some advice please.

We have a business in the UK which I am director of and my husband is an employee. Could we get this visa for us? I would be staying in Thailand majority of time whilst my husband would be travelling back and forth to UK for work

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the possibility of obtaining a DTV visa for a couple where one partner runs a UK-based business while residing in Thailand. The main query revolves around whether they can qualify for the visa given that one partner will be staying full-time in Thailand and the other will travel back and forth to the UK for work. The comments offer insights into the visa requirements, emphasizing the need for the business to be operated remotely from Thailand and advising on the application process for the husband as a remote worker, with the wife applying as a dependent.

If he is claiming he works "remotely" then could he come into any issues if he is regularly travelling back and forth?

I run the business which i can do remotely (booking in work, projects etc) but then my husband goes and does the actual work which would mean he regularly leaves thailand....

If I were you I'd do this way, you write as the director stating that your husband is allowed to work from remote and he won't have any issues by working remotely from thailand blah blah blah (u can find dozens of posts about it here). He needs to apply first as a remote worker and since the company is yours, it won't be an issue. Once your husband got is DTV you can apply as dependent (wife) but u need to be legally married.

The DTV is for remote work, owning a business is not in itself enough. To qualify you need to be able to run your business remotely from Thailand. It sounds more like your husband runs the business but not remotely. Maybe you could clarify?
