- My wife, child and I have been staying in Thailand for the past 4 months and we are planning to apply for a DTV visa in Vietnam
I plan to apply for a workaction. I have a remote
Job, my wife is a stay at home mom as my son is still a baby.
I understand all the requirements however, I’m just a bit confused with the minimum amount of money required since my wife is a dependent.
Will 500,000k Thaibaht be sufficient for a family of 3 or must i show a minimum of 1,500,000 Thaibaht since we are with 3 i total?
- My landlord has never submitted any TM30 documents. Can they reject a visa based on that?
Anyone who has experience, please comment and I will DM if i think it’s necessary😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about applying for a DTV visa for their family while in Vietnam, specifically the financial requirements considering their wife's dependent status and the impact of the landlord's failure to submit TM30 documents. Community responses clarify that the financial requirement is 500,000 THB per visa and that sponsorship letters can be used for dependents. Additionally, TM30 documentation may not be crucial for their application, although it's advisable to get it submitted if possible.
Me and my children are dependants and we applied in Hanoi. My husband wrote sponsorship letters for each of us I didn’t have to show funds in my account
Financial requirement is 500,000 THB per visa. So technically you need to provide a sponsorship letter for the child while for the lady it could be money in her own account or sponsorship letter from you.
As a rule, TM30 needs to be reported with in 24 hrs of you getting into Thailand. May not create a problem right now but will be important once you are in on DTV.
Also, can you ask your landlord to file TM30 now even though it's late?
