Singapore, Malaysian and Thai airlines are showing on their websites available dates for international flights to Phuket from early July- mostly from 3/7. Hopefully a positive sign for the optimists wanting to return.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around the availability of international flights to Phuket starting from early July 2020, as advertised by Singapore, Malaysian, and Thai airlines. However, commenters express skepticism about these flights actually occurring due to potential cancellations and the need for government approval. There are concerns about refund policies for canceled flights and suggestions to use the waiting period to learn Thai or secure adequate health insurance that covers COVID-19. Overall, the situation remains uncertain with cautious optimism from some users.

Has anyone looked at getting travel insurance atm?

I've just done a quick search, Bupa and a UK based company and both are not issuing any sort of cover.

But use the time to get the best deal on your health insurance. It must cover Coronavirus CV-19 for a minimum of 100,000 US$

Once, the Thai government notifies the world that inbound cleared for landing, only then, airline companies will start scheduling flights. Frankly, initially it’s going to be difficult to find 100 people willing to travel internationally to Thailand. If a mandatory 14 day quarantine is a prerequisite for entering the Kingdom. Probably only service engineers, diplomats and residents of Thailand most likely wanting to travel to Thailand.

Just wait simple as that. Spend your spare time learning Thai.

I know loads of people with money tied up waiting for refunds for flights. One case they are being offered credit and if they want actual refund they have to wait 12 months. Travel companies and airlines need the cash.

Hope this information is correct guys.

I would await a government announcement. You book the flight and it gets cancelled I hear refunds are difficult to come by. Call me cynical but they need the cashflow at the moment.

Yeah, that's what I think too.

That means nothing, you can find a flight for tomorrow but they're all being canceled.

I think it's a tactic to get revenue. Lots of people booked flights that were 'showing' only to have them canceled and then be offered a credit note or wait months (some are saying up to a year) for refunds.
