Just wondering if anyone is up to speed with latest on direct international flights to Phuket and recommended ASQs:
1) My understanding is that a couple of international flights are available direct into Phuket via Singapore (I’m flying from Vancouver) enabling quarantine in Phuket (rather than stopping and having to quarantine in Bangkok before transferring).
2) I reached out to a number of ASQs in Phuket and many seem to be either no longer offering that or are (temporarily) closed down altogether. Does anyone have recos for decent ASQs in Phuket (and ideally ones that have adopted newer rules around enabaling use of facilities after 3 days).
Much appreciated,
Anthony

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the latest direct international flights to Phuket and suggestions for Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) hotels. They mention that direct flights are available from Singapore, allowing for quarantine in Phuket, and seek recommendations for ASQs, noting that many have closed or are not offering services. A comment mentions new flights from Frankfurt and the potential reopening of others if the Phuket sandbox program is implemented.
Thai have just announced 2 flights from Frankfurt to Phuket on 2 April and 7 May. If the ‘sandbox’ gets off the ground keep an eye out for Emirates & Qatar restarting.
