TLDR : Answer Summary
Users have noted that all flights from Jakarta to Phuket have been canceled, with comments indicating that Phuket Airport is closed for commercial flights, and there seems to be an ongoing international travel ban until at least June 30th. There are questions regarding entry into Thailand for foreigners, especially since some users expressed concerns about the status of their visas and accessing essential items like medications.
Thanks but I’m coming from Jakarta. Yesterday they had flights from Jakarta to Phuket. Today they don’t . Today the only flights are with Bangkok Air and it’s 23 hours yesterday air Asia was six hours
Yesterday at the airport in Jakarta people were acting up not social distancing with insane lines and the airlines were over changing more than what’s allowed by Indonesian law. Airport authority’s didn’t even bother to control the situation so the Indonesian government shut it down.
That tells me an alien (that's you) who has been permitted to take up residency (so a Non-imm visa, not a tourist visa) has been extended "beyond one year" but must return within a timeframe as soon as aliens are allowed back in again. Correct me if I'm wrong
best not to book until there’s been an official announcement by the Thai government. Flights can be cancelled/not allowed to board and it will take ages to get a refund.
It’s really a bad setup. I can’t get my regular meds here . My retirement visa is expired . I’m from the US and I need to do taxes . That paperwork is in Phuket. On top of it all my lease end June 30
