I’ve arrived in mid March to Koh Phangan, and regarding to the visa amnesty l haven’t applied for visa extension so far.

1. Am l eligible for a 30 day extension after Sept 26?

2. Am l eligible to apply for an ED visa?

Thank you for your help!

Answer summary

The answer to your questions regarding visa eligibility in Thailand is as follows: 1. You are not eligible for a 30-day extension after September 26 unless you have a COVID-19 letter from the embassy or a medical reason for not leaving. 2. ED visas are not currently being issued inside Thailand. However, you can inquire at your local immigration office to see if they might grant you a 30-day extension despite the general rules.

You can try to see if your immigration office will grant you a 30 day extension as you did not obtain it yet.

If they do they may add it to the amnesty ending September 26. Does not hurt to ask them.

Good Luck.

No, you must either have a COVID-19 letter from the embassy, OR a medical reason why you can't leave.

>2. Am l eligible to apply for an ED visa?

No, ED visas are not being issued inside Thailand right now. Period. End of story. No exceptions.
