Thank you for adding me. I'd like to ask the community a Q regarding METV tourist VISAs please.

Info:

• I have a six month METV (tourist)

• I must do a border run every 60 days to maintain status

• My METV expires in Mid-August

• My current 60 day stamp expires Mid-May

Question:

• Am I eligible for the July 31st auto-extension?

I've scoured the forums for answers, but as the METV is a less common VISA - info is lacking.

If anyone can help me here I would be most grateful.

note: Ben - I respect and appreciate their efforts in speaking English (but was unable to respond in the comments)

Thank you for your advice, and best regards, Luke

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about eligibility for an auto-extension until July 31, 2020, while holding a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa (METV) that requires border runs every 60 days. A community member confirms that the user qualifies for the amnesty allowing them to stay until the specified date without further action.

An METV is a Multiple Entry Tourist Visa. You qualify for the amnesty that will let you stay until July 31, 2020. There is nothing else you need to do to go on amnesty.

thank you Ben.

It's confusing that Immigration defines the amnesty on "VISA expiration" - not - "entry stamp expiration"
