I'm on 6 month METV and extended it on March 30 allowing me to stay until May 1st. Am I eligible for the proposed visa amnesty ?

You are indeed covered by the amnesty that is proposed and do NOT need to go to the immigration office at this time.

Just wait for the borders to open up OR for the government to announce what people on the amnesty until July 31st do
