Anonymous participant 846 The advice I took from this group that I found to be very helpful is to organize your docs. A cover letter for each, esp for compiled pdfs, proper indexing, labels, and annotation might just be the difference
Applied in Manila. Took 13 business days to get the approval.
Initial docs I submitted and what came next
- Employment contract: My contract has a specific clause about remote work so I didn’t create a separate letter. It was later requested that I provide a cover letter indicating what are responsibilities while doing remote work, the nature and profile of my employer, and samples of my work output, correspondences, online meetings.
- Proof of funds. I supplied a 3 month statement that shows starting and ending balance. However they did request that I share how I receive my salary (in a cover letter) and a highlighted bank statement showing income flow for last 3 months. In effect, I provided bank statements from 2 different bank accounts — my “savings” one and the “income” one
