What is the current policy for Covid-19 visa extensions in Chiang Mai after January 29th?

That seems to be the case. I changed from a medical extension to the current covid one. It's effective from the date I applied. But when I tried to apply for a second time covid extension two weeks ago, the CM office told me it will be effective from that day as well. So I have to do my extension near the end of Jan.
