It depends on what pension the partner is receiving

If it’s the partner of a veteran than yes they will receive something

Unfortunately poster hasn’t stated what pension he is receiving so it’s hard to answer the question

 it would depend on the type of pension one is receiving

If the poster is talking a military pension or a super scheme pension then I’d say yes

 used correctly you can get 9 months out of it and not have to have 800 K in a bank

Mind you more than one would have be be used over a few years

 you can however your atm card will incur a small fee when used at atm outside of the area
