Once the 800k is in the account 2 months before A-O visa is there a minimum amount of days it needs to be untouched? How much must always remain in the account, 400k? And when should it be refilled up to 800k, 2 months before renewal? Also, can the A-O be renewed in Thailand or only in my home country from where I received the A-O visa? One of the mandatory documents is a full year insurance coverage, correct?

Hey Hey! I like to apply for the A-O visa for my mom. But we are a little bit confused regarding the insurance policy. She is planning to be in thailand for around 180+- days. So, do we need to have an insurance which covers 12 month? or only the planned period or maybe the first month only?

Thanks =))

PS: Do you know an h-insurance where you can pay on a monthly basis? (69y+)

We are completing the A-O visa application for residency and it’s asking for Covid-coverage insurance letter. Searching in this group, I see many options for travel insurance with Covid coverage but I need it for health insurance. Any recommendations?

Thank you!

So I am about to enter on a A-O Visa 12/13. Will I need to show the 800,000 Baht every 90 days or just annually when I renew for another year? Part 2 of the same topic, is printing an online statements enough or does it need to be a letter/statement mailed from the bank? Thanks

I’m currently in the UK and have a valid A-O Visa that expires in November. Does anyone know whether it is possible to renew the A-O or do you have to apply for a new one from scratch. I have tried the Thai Embassy in London on multiple occasions but they seem unable to answer a simple yes or no question instead refer to me different web pages none of which contain the answer. Thank you.

So i started the process for an A-O visa. Police cert arrives just 4 days after application. NHS doctors say they do not have the capacity to do medical certificate, too busy. They offered a copy of my electronic medical records in order that i can go to a private clinic. Private clinic say i must have x-ray and blood tests, no idea yet how much this will cost. Could i have had this certificate issued in Thailand on my last visit ? If so any reccomendations for a clinic or hospital near Jomtien that would issue it that is acceptable to the Thai Embassy in UK. Thanks in anticipation.

Andy Race is asking in another topic:

Tod Daniels As far as the A-O Visa goes, i've been reading that the requirements Re; your bank, is that you have to have 800.000Baht, in your own bank account (does not state Thai) OR can show 65k per month going into said account, I'm 55 not quite retired but wanting to spend a couple of years in Thailand, no pension, but cash lump sum, would i have a problem with getting a A-O Visa ? TIA.
