I obtained my initial 90 day non o retirement visa based on an income affidavit from the Canadian consulate on Friday in Chiang Mai. The officer told me to return in 60 days to do my one year extension. She said nothing about transferring 65000 each month. Is the transfer required? And is the transfer every 30 days or each calendar month? Since there is only one week left in June

Hi. Chiangmai. I have a 90 day retirement visa, expires 1 June. They said, come in 1 month ahead for the 1 year extension.

Regarding the bank letters, do I have to have 2 letters, one a current statement of the account, and then another letter showing one years transactions? Thank you.

Hi, am I right in thinking that 45 days before expiration is the earliest I can start my marriage visa extension?

Master of bad timing, my visa expires mid April and I’d really like to get the paperwork in, the wheels turning and head south of Chiang Mai early March.

Thank you and seasons greetings to all the admin, y’all do an amazing job. 🙏

Is there any “under consideration” waiting period I need to worry about for doing the 1 year extension on a Non-O based on retirement. My current Non-O stamp is good until 8 November. Tuesday would be 21 days before which is the Chiang Mai waiting period that was required when I converted from Tourist to Non-O. Must I submit the extension paperwork on Tuesday (11 Oct) or can it be any delay before 8 November? I was out of country (had exit/re-entry permit) for the last 3 1/2 weeks or I would have done it sooner.

May I ask if husband and wife were to apply for retirement O visa in Chiangmai, do we need to have 800k baht bank account EACH or do we only need one 800k baht if we can provide a marriage certificate? Anyone done this type of visa application? Appreciate your advice.

Hi folks, just wanted to confirm. For Australians on COVID extensions that arrived as a tourist before lockdowns:

Do we require an embassy letter this time? (I believe we don't?)

Can we get 60 days again? Is it best to wait until the last few days to ensure we get stamped for a later date (extension expires Dec. 30)?

And lastly, is there any preferred city to do this in where the process is easier and doesn't require going to immigration twice (to close the loop) as was needed last time? Currently in Chiang Rai, but will need to head to BKK anyway to fly out, so if it is easier to do this in BKK or some city on the way to BKK from the north, it may be better?

Thanks in advance, and apologies if this question has been asked. 🙏
