at the Immigration Center Chiang Mai yesterday: we arrived at 11.30 and got the visa 90 minutes later. We had application form, copies of passport of front page and page with 30 days stamp and TM6 and the original of TM6, pass foto and 1'900 THB. We did not have TM30 and no onward ticket and were not asked for it, neither we had to show cash - everybody was friendly and in a good mood ๐Ÿ™‚

TLDR : Answer Summary
A recent experience at the Immigration Center in Chiang Mai detailed a smooth process for obtaining a 30-day extension of stay. Arriving at 11:30 AM, the author received their extension 90 minutes later with necessary documents including the application form, passport copies, TM6, and a fee of 1,900 THB. Notably, no TM30 or onward tickets were required, and no proof of cash was needed, creating a friendly and efficient atmosphere.

Thank you for the report, are you lodged in an hotel or a condo ? Is it possible than your landlord have made a TM30 electronically ?

Onward ticket and proof of funds is not needed for a 30 day extention of stay. As

Paul Darby. I recommend avoiding Mondays and Tuesdays for the Extension of Stay (Retirement). Thursdays and Fridays are by far the quickest.
