Hi Just like to relate my pleasant experience Thai Embassy Canberra for Non O-A Retirement.

Applied on my birthday 50, had it back on 5th day incl postage .

Money (AUD 40K +) was only deposited weeks before & statement ordered & printed, police check, medical certificate all notarized by a JP for free. . Altogether cost less than $400. Can now get 2 years (single entry on 2nd year) from this. So much easier than in Thailand.

Assuming i get let in next week 55. Best option if you are traveling home IMO.

You can get multiple entries/exits the second year. Just get a re-entry permit at the airport as you leave allowing you back in. Single or multiple re-entry permits are available.

Glad it worked out (y) That O-A visa is definitely the easiest thing to do (if you're in your country ;) )

Now just make sure that the immigration officer stamps you in for a whole year when you stamp in. A LOT of people get stamped in wrong on that visa for some reason..

Make sure you write the visa number on the arrival card and point it out to the IO
