Approved visa in a few hours! ✅🎉

Applied for the Soft Power DTV through the Thai Consulate in Los Angeles.

Application submitted: Friday 10/10 10am

Approval received: Friday 10/10 5:30pm

What I submitted:

* Bio data page of passport

* Passport photo

* Proof of current address (front & back of driver’s license)

* Three months of bank statements showing $50k USD - used a high yield savings account through Marcus but no issues here!

* House of Taste Cooking Class: invitation letter, payment receipt(6 month membership), company info and data

Notes:

* Super smooth process for me

* My partner had to resubmit his application and pay another $400 because he submitted with his personal account financial account that wasn't seasoned. The second time he submitted with letter explaining the accounts + business account funds transferred, he was approved.

Huge thanks to the group for all the help. Happy to answer any questions!

Can anyone provide guidance on using an annuity to qualify for the DTV by receiving monthly payments? I receive $1500 USD monthly, and I am married with one son.

As a residents of Texas, USA, I am inquiring about the requirement to maintain $15,000 USD in our account for 3 or 6 months? And if the $15,000 is per person or per main applicant?

Also, do I need to obtain the annuity form and have it apostilled by the state department?

After my visa is approved, should I apply for dependent visas for my partner and son separately or at the same time as my own application?

I would appreciate any guidance on this matter.h lf

Seriously asking for a friend..

US passport

Over 60..

Is there a visa you can get that requires not having XXX dollars.....

Would it be best for someone that wants to hang out in Thailand 6-9 months out of the year and use it as a base for traveling elsewhere ..for a couple years....to get the tourist stamp at the airport and not get a visa?

I'm a bit confused myself at times ..so I don't know what to tell her over here in the states....any help would be appreciated... please and thank you
