Looking to go to Hanoi or Penang to complete my DTV. Anyone know the current days to approve at either? I feel like my file is complete as a remote worker.
Also at either Penang or Hanoi, what are there bank statement requirements ?
Thank you in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the current approval times for visas (DTV) in Hanoi and Penang, with indications that it generally takes between 7 to 14 days. A user shared their personal experience of receiving approval in Hanoi within 4 working days. Additionally, the conversation touches on bank statement requirements for Malaysia, noting that 6 months of banked evidence of 500,000 THB is required, alongside proof of accommodation in Thailand.
I was approved this week in Hanoi as a remote worker. Submitted my pre-prepared application on Monday evening 5.45pm local time from the arrival hall at Hanoi Airport after I got the immigration stamp. My application status chanted from ‘pending document check’ to ‘pending approval’ on Thursday around 10am and I received the approved visa on Saturday at 6pm, so 4 working days without the need to submit any additional documents. Thanks to this group I had everything well prepared.
Only thing I am wondering out of curiosity: How do they approve the visas on non-working days? Is the step of ‘pending approval’ done centrally in Bangkok where a department works 7 days a week? Or is it actually partially automated/AI-driven?
