I always stay at Chulia Mansion. Amazing value, super clean and modern and very good location right in the middle of Georgetown. Jim's place is pretty much next door.

Little India is interesting. Nice street art / graffiti around Canon St. area. I can't recommend the hotel I stayed in despite it's location being convenient to Consulate.

Hotels are a personal thing there are many around and less than an hour in an Uber away is the beach with many resorts/hotels up to 6 stars,.... try Booking.com for reviews and prices.

Yes sure and be a cheap Charlie to save 700THB so you can go queue yourself 2 times and when problems arise fix them yourself too of course.... UP TO YOU. Nah,... I'll arrive, drop my paperwork at Jim's. Have a nice chat with the fella and disappear in the stressless sunset for the next 2 days,.... come back, pick up the worryless visa and fly back home :-p

Where do you guys recommend me staying? Any hotels you reccomend?

Depends on the time you arrive, if you arrive in the evening, you drop you papers at the agent and relax, or go yourself next morning to the consulate, apply than relax and pick it up the next day at the consulate or at the agent. If you arrive early morning and the consulate is still open, it is indeed quicker to do it yourself.

No. it saves you nothing, in fact you loose more time at the beach :-p :-p :-p

@Robert ******
I'm talking when using Jim's services usually you drop your documentation the evening or day before the moring Jim takes it to the consulate for you. He does the legwork and paperpushing. If you go to the consulate yourself in the morning , then yes, you can pick up the next day. But the convo here is about when using

as your agent.

That's new information to me. So you can not apply day 1 in the morning for a visa and pickt it up the next working day in the afternoon, you tell now it will be pick up two days later?
Valère *************************
Drop day 1 and pick up day 3 working days are from monday till friday.
Valère *************************
@Robert ******
That is wrong information there's a processing day in between.
Robert *******
Not if you drop it off on Friday or a day before closed, like I said next working day.

@Eric ********
Drop your documentation on Monday (for example) and pick up on wednesday 2:30pm. Add Jim to your friends to stay updated on delays, new reauirements and closing days of the Consulate,.
