I need to do a visa run in early May (tourist) and am thinking of going to Penang.  Its been a while since I've done a visa run.  Anyone recommend going there or have any warnings about the consulate there?  Cheers.

If you have several tourist visas in your passport already, be prepared to have proof of onward travel, proof of 20K baht in a bank account and proof of a hotel booking .

there wa a warning a while back that if you had 3 or so tourist visas in your passport they were asking for proof of onward travel back to your country of origin not just onward travel

Thanks! Last tourist visa was a little over two years ago. If I'm staying at someone's condo, will a letter from them suffice in place of a hotel booking?
