I am currently on an ED-Plus visa valid until June 2025, and I have a dependent on non-O visa also valid until June. If I switch from an ED-Plus to a non-B visa, what will happen to my dependents’ visa status? Will they need to cancel their non-O visas and apply for new ones, or can they change their visa status within Thailand without leaving the country?

Hello group, I have been looking at different visa types for my age, and the difference between applying in the U.K. or coming to Thailand and applying there.

I am 50 years old and my wife is 48, both British, I contacted the Thai Embassy in the U.K., they sent me the requirements for Non-O and Non-OA, the OA seems a better option, I’m going to get good health cover and meet all the other requirements so no issue, they are telling me the following.

She can only get Non-O single entry from us then she can appy for a year visa in Thailand with Thai Immigration because you have Non-OA

What’s involved in Thailand to get my wife’s visa once we arrive?

If she stayed on this visa would she have to leave and re enter every 90 days with a permit?

The most appealing thing for me to apply in the U.K. is that I don’t have to open a bank account in Thailand and deposit the 800,000 straight away until closer to the time when we want to renew for another year.

Am I also correct in saying if I left after 360 days and returned on 364 day I would get another complete year and would just need reentry permit for that year if I left Thailand?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi. Applying for annual extension of Thai Family (spouse) on June 6 for a July 20 expiration date I was stamped under consideration and told to return with passport August 19. If I need to travel outside country I was told just return before 19th and get a reentry permit. Does this sound correct? I was hoping to move the expiration date forward by going 45 days before the expiry but they said expiration date stays the same and 30 day under consideration effectively starts July 20, which is why I go in for the extension stamp on August 19.

Can one apply for 90-day visa based on marriage to a Thai in Thailand(without needing to go out)?

And sub question, you think it might affect somehow chances for getting multiple entry non-o later on in Savanakhet?

I am hoping that someone here can clarify for me precisely what documents I will need to bring to Chiang Mai Immigration in order to apply to have my Tourist visa changed to a Non-Imm visa based on being 50 years of age. I know I need to do this while there are at least 15 days remaining on my Tourist visa.

For the financial requirement, I will be using a combination of income and money in a Thai bank account. I plan to get an income affidavit from the US Consulate this month (I know that they will stop issuing them at the end of the calendar year). Just to be clear, is it correct that the only document I will need to have notarized is the income affidavit? Will I need to show other supporting documents re: income at Immigration? And will Chiang Mai Immigration keep my income affidavit when I submit it, meaning that I will need a second one when I apply for my one year extension in March? Would they allow me to submit a copy for the extension, because they will have the original in their possession?

Regarding the money in the bank, I can show my Thai bank statements/bank book, and the receipt for the transfer of the money from the US to Thailand (using TransferWise) more than 60 days prior to the application. Will I also need a corroborating letter from my Thai bank branch, or anything else?

What else will they require, aside from passport & photocopies of passport/photos/application form? And how early in the morning should I plan to arrive and get in line at Chiang Mai Immigration in order to ensure that I will be seen? Thank you in advance for your help.
