Hi everyone!

I know this question has probably been asked a thousand times, but I can never seem to successfully find old posts from the group page.. 🙏🏽

I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for a reputable Thai cooking school/s in BKK area that have a good track record for having DTV visas go through successfully? And also any visa company recommendations that could help with the visa process if the school wasn't able to help with that part? I've read that Issa Compass seems to have a good track record for getting the DTVs to go through, so they seem trustworthy.. I think there are others that people have had good luck with also?

Also, if anyone has recommendations of places to apply from that seem to go smoothly?

I think Hanoi and Jakarta seems to be smooth for a lot of folks, but there seems to be other recommended places as well, and also places to avoid..

Thank you so much to everyone in this group for any help you might be able to provide.. I learn a lot from you guys.. 🙏🏽

I'm in the states now, have US passport, but will be in Thailand beginning late August, so can apply from anywhere outside Thailand that anyone recommends..

Thank you in advance to everyone! 🙏🏽🦋

Hey guys! I’m looking for a Thai cooking school. I’m actually interested in learning how to cook too. I’m not just doing this for the visa. Does anyone know if there’s any cooking school that offers professional chef cooking classes?

Hello,

My girlfriend would like to stay in Thailand for more than a year.

The DTV visa seems to be the most suitable option.

Which “soft power” schools are the most accepted by the French embassy?

Ideally focused on cooking, but Thai boxing could also be an option.

While searching in the group, I found that the Discover Thai Nature seminar was rejected by Paris 😕

Has anyone here been approved for a DTV visa from France for a festival or a medical appointment?

For those considering a cooking school for Thai Soft Power, how are you deciding on a school? I noticed a wide range in pricing, and Arun Thai Cooking seemed quite reasonable. Any thoughts or experiences?

Originally interested in the DTV Visa to do Muay Thai since I am already here to train, but now considering learning to cook. Anything on schools that teach how to make Thai food?

Does anyone know *definitely* which schools/academies fulfill the Culinary Arts training requirement for the DTV? I'm specifically interested in Krabi Provence, Bangkok and Phuket, in that order.

Also, does the period of study have to be of a certain length?

(I see plenty of 1-day and 1/2-day courses offered at the Bangkok Thai Cooking Academy.)

And just fyi, ChatGPT references The Blue Elephant as a possibility. I've just received word from them that they are not registered with the Ministry of Education, and so they do NOT meet the DTV requirement. Which is a shame, because their courses and facilities look pretty bangin'.... 😃

Does anyone know of reputable cooking schools that offer DTV? I looked at a couple schools in BKK, and I actually want to learn how to cook Thai food, and I also want to move to Thailand. I saw one school that offered a DTV-eligible 2 week cooking class for 40,000 baht. Is that reasonable?
