Follow up to my post 30 days ago with my Thai child extension in Ubon Ratchanthani. Did the 30 days under consideration, no visit to house, no asking neighbors, nothing. Go in today 15 minutes later out the door with 1 year extension, as said before only thing different this year I did monthly income from abroad, was they interviewed my wife on what money was used for. Absolutely no problems.

Did my extensions of stay based on a Thai child today in Ubon Ratchanthani. Had all required documentation. Did the monthly deposit from abroad method. Only thing different than in the past, they did interview and asked why my income from abroad immediately left my account at my bank, and I transfer it to my wife’s account. Then they questioned my wife on what she spent the money on. I got my 30 day under review, nothing said about visiting house or requiring witnesses to us living there as in the past. FYI we moved in last year.

Hey guys I’m after some advice . My current visa runs out early March and I was planning on getting the covid extension closer to the expiry date as It’s still very difficult to get home to Australia.

I’ve read online that the covid extension expires end of this month and as far as I’m aware if I was to go in and get the covid extension it is effective as of the stamp on the day.

So basically I’m torn on what to do seeing as I have around 6 weeks left on current visa to burn that for an extra 2-3 weeks on the covid visa when I still doubt I’ll be able to get into Australia.

My current visa is non O for raising my half Thai son that I’m under the impression I could only do once for 60 days .

Chiang Rai Immigration

Had my 60 days extension based on having a thai child for the Non-O - 90 days visa today. Apparently, there was a 300 baht service charge (without receipt) for transferring the entry stamp from the old passport to the new passport then they will proceed with putting the extension stamp. Copies of entry stamp + departure card, old passport particulars + new passport particulars & Original letter from the embassy stating the issuance of the new passport + a photocopy of it.

Nothing much changed for the documents required for the 60 days extension based on thai child.

Copy of Child Birth Cert + Tabien Baan

Copy of ID + Tabien Baan of the Child's mother

Photocopy of Visa Page, Entry Stamp, Departure Card

Filled-up forms (3 pages of them - can be collected on site)

TM.30

1900 baht

They will not be opened tomorrow. They only replied with a smile when I asked them if Monday is still alright to process without being overstay. (As good as no answer)

Info sharing: Chiang Rai Immigration Office

Got my 90 Days Non-O visa from the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore (as a Singaporean). Went to the Chiangrai Immigration office today to obtain my 60 days extension based on Thai Child.

Documents required:

1. Photocopies of Passport, Entry Stamp + Visa Page (90-Days) + Arrival Card

1. Photocopies of Child's Birth Certificate + Tabien Baan

1. Photocopies of Mother of Child's ID + Tabien Baan

1. Filled Up Extension form + Acknowledgement form for not overstaying + Acknowledgement form for the fines if overstay

Original documents were not required. TM30 was lodged online when i arrived at Chiangrai home. Officer asked me why I lodged the TM30 a week later from my arrival date. I informed that I arrived via Bangkok and had stayed in Bangkok. Had to show my arrival ticket (which I show my electronic copy) and my Agoda bookings to verify that I was staying in a hotel during the period which I did not lodge my TM30 upon my arrival. All was fine then. Whole process took 30 minutes. Easy day!
