TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster asks if their SETV visa can be extended based on having a Thai child. A commenter clarifies that legal parental rights are necessary for such an extension. Without rights, an extension based solely on the child is not possible, though a one-time 60-day family visit extension might be available without proof of parental rights.

do you have legal parental rights granted either thru thai family court by decree OR from the local Amphur (if the child is over 6 years or so)?

If the answer to that is no (as in you have a child by a thai that you're not married to) then nope you can't use the child to get a year long extension based on supporting a half thai child

You COULD get ONE 60 day visit thai family extension (that won't require proof of parental rights)
