I arrived last night 7/1/26 wondering about whether I would be turned down for the standard 60 visa waiver because I had read many posts here stating various negative issues about immigration's supposed tightening up rule on using too many etc etc.

I used 4 last year with a total stay of 212 days so was worried but got through OK. I was asked for proof of outward travel which I had but that's all. It seems either I got a sympathetic officer or there has been a lot of unnecessary hype regarding waiver abuse?

I have had 2 visa exemption .. extensions, upon my third arrival into bangkok i get questioend by immigration in the airport. asking why i staying so long, they grant me 30 day entry visa, my visa is to expire on 31 august, but my flight is september 4.. out of thailand for the rest of the year, upton visiting immigration in pattaya, they question me and want to speak to where i am staying, and see the key card, they then say to me i must return on the 30TH, but my visa expires 31st, i am looking for a 7 day extension just to be able to get the flight... what will happen upon immigration on the 30th, i'm thinking they will deport me, or take me to bangkok to make sure i get on a flight?

If I get a tourist visa in Laos, how long can I wait before I need to cross the border and activate it? Also, does the number of extra days you spend in Laos after you have been granted your tourist visa get subtracted from your total days? Thanks

Hi guys just a quickie here for a friend not on fb: he's holding a Non O ME based on marriage.

His 90 day border bounce is due for the 10th, but he will take a trip to Vietnam by plane on the 14th. What would be the consequence for not bouncing and overstaying until the 14th.

Thank you

For anyone thinking (and asking) about overstaying and if they will be okay.

Just DON’T do it.

(Not my post just sharing a real story for more awareness)

Hi all. How many times in a year can one enter Thailand by any means of transport in total (flight, land, sea). Is there a limited amount? I only know you can do 2 border crossings by land. Thanks in advance.

I got a SETV before entering Thailand and the officer was tired and just gave me a 30 day stamp instead of 60. I only realized it now and am already overstaying. Can I get the stamp corrected or do I need to pay and do another run? I have a history of 2 years on tourist visas without problems.
