My Visa expires on March 24th. I was offered magical trip somewhere that would take me past my Visa deadline by 2 days. I don't want to miss this amazing trip because it's all paid for by someone else. What options do I have?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is concerned about their visa expiring soon and a potential overstay due to a prepaid trip. Community members share experiences and advice regarding overstaying, including paying fines for short overstays, the possibility of seeking an extension at immigration, and the risks associated with being caught. Generally, minor overstays of a few days seem manageable, but users warn about the importance of knowing the specifics of different visa types and extending before it’s too late.

You just pay 500 baht per day when you’re at airport immigration / passport control

Why don’t you go to immigration and ask them for extra 7 days just to get out of the country, maybe they’ll give you a stamp. If not then time to leave

1000 baht charge. If caught and arrested (for an actual crime, not for overstay that half the time they don’t even make 1-2 days worth stamping) AND you are on overstay (meaning you fled a drug charge etc.) you face the ban and jail time. People need to actually read the rules.
thank you for this. It's good to know that two or three days of overstay isn't going to be that big of a deal. Definitely not going to overstay by 90 days.

I messed up one time, not on purpose. Was two days over. Paid a tiny fine. I really don't think they give a crap. Happy for the extra revenue.

What visa are you currently on and have you had any exstensions already?

I was on an ED visa.

Bruce Frausto If before your first covid extension you were on a tourist visa or visa exempt entry, you can apply for another covid extension until March 25th.
If you were on a non-immigrant visa, you cannot apply for a other covid extension.
In either case, you can submit and application and be denied, you'll get 7 additional days to leave thr country.
exactly ….no risk until caught - then it’s a huge mistake that will take time and money to fix!

You'll get a big fat red stamp in your passport and you'll have to pay 500₿ per day of overstay. The vast majority of time this plays no factor in future entry to Thailand.

I'm going to agree with Brandon, 3 day overstay is not an issue. If you're caught working illegally, you'll be blacklisted.
it's a vacation somewhere within Thailand that's all paid for

I overstayed 2 days and was allowed back into the country. If you pay the fine then you're good to go. Though there is a certain amount of days that if you overstay then you will be banned for a year
