Went to Chiang Rai IO this morning for clarification on Embassy Income letter for extension of visa based on

Marriage and was told - no more Embassy income letters accepted only 400000 baht in bank for 2 months. When I query it they replied new policy. It's obvious from other posts on Thai visa that IO's left hand does not know what it's right hand is doing, as income letters are still acceptable in some IO offices. Wish Thai IO would clarify.

Applying for my 12 month extension due to marriage later this week how soon after completing the application can I dib into the 400000 baht I know it's on a 30 day consideration but do they check your bank balance again after the application gone in. Thanks
