TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus among commenters is that the 400,000 baht does have a 'seasoning' requirement that varies by location and situation, with at least two months being a common timeframe mentioned, especially for extensions based on marriage to a Thai national or having half-Thai children. It is suggested to confirm specific regulations with the local immigration office, as practices may differ.

as people can see from Robert's post and their images there is NO seasoning required for yearly extensions based on raising a half thai child, period end of story.

HOWEVER what the real rule is and what your immigration office SAYS it is might be very different things entirely. MANY offices are using the same criteria for seasoning the funds for raising half thai children as they are for marriage to a thai (2 months before you apply for the extension AND asking you leave the money in the account during the 30 day under consideration stamp).

The only answer that is gonna carry any weight is what your immigration office does. That's who you need to be asking.

It seem my answer is not the one the OP want and he refers to

. As Tod is an admin he can open the post again to share his thoughts and stop the discussion who is correct.

Other option is call the Phuket Immigration and just ask.

There was previously no seasoning of funds required for this extension so if there now is then that must have changed? 🤔
