Will my Thai Ed visa application be approved after submitting at the embassy in Vientiane?

Hiiii it’s me again 😅

Went to my appt at embassy in Vientiane and they took my money and my application along with my Ed visa paperwork that my school gave me and sent me on my way within 5 mins max. The guy looked annoyed though I had everything ready 🫠 he briefly looked through my paperwork and then stamped it and said bye..

Does that mean I am good to go and won’t see any issues when I go to pick up my passport on Monday or is it possible to get denied and only find out when I get there?

Would they have taken everything if something was wrong?

Trying to be as proactive as possible because my flight is out in the morning on Tuesday and I’m a newbie at all of this.

TIA for grace and kindness 🫶🏽

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has submitted their Ed visa application at the embassy in Vientiane and is anxious about the approval process. The comments indicate that since the embassy accepted the paperwork without requesting additional documents, it is likely that the application will be approved. Several commenters mention that the embassy is familiar with the required documentation and typically would not accept incomplete submissions.

its fine! Stop worring

Absolutely! Nothing to worry about. Usually in Vientiane they won't accept the Paperwork if they have any concerns. They will ask you to arrange other paperwork and submit again. But since they have already accepted. It should be done.

That certainly isn't the norm at Vientiane, if they take your money and accept your application then you're good to go. They tell you there and then if you'll be denied.

not 100% of the time they will accept paper work with a discrepancy and the big boss will decide agreed not the normal but to say 100% guaranteed would be a lie

did you expect to be served tea?

I mean a Thai tea sounds like minimal effort 😉

They are very versed in what the paperwork for most schools looks like, as you're not the first. If anything was missing they would have told you then.

does that mean I will be getting my stamp then? Or would they deny me upfront?

probably not answer you want to hear.. but last week I was at Penang and saw a number of people who were applying for ed visa’s get denied. Can’t say for what reason etc but yeah.. it’s what I saw.

At the same time, I agree with what Kool says and normally if they take the paperwork etc it usually means it’s good.. but no guarantees… 😬
