Can I receive my visa after returning to Thailand before it was granted, or should I go back to Hong Kong?

I'm still processing the visa now but had to take my flight back from Hong Kong to Thailand before it was finished or granted. Is it still possible to get it or should I return to Hong Kong to process further?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The situation regarding visa processing after returning to Thailand before obtaining approval can be uncertain. Some users report successfully receiving their DTV visa while in Thailand, while others suggest it's risky and may increase the chances of visa rejection, especially if embassies have stated that leaving their jurisdiction before visa approval could cause issues. Options include potentially applying online from Thailand using a VPN, but there's no guarantee of success.

I applied while I was in Thailand on the online system. I then went to HK and came back to Thailand to get my first DTV stamp.

There is nothing to say you can't apply and arrive in thailand before granted. It is a risk,

But if you use a vpn to upload documents from within thailand,

And hope they don't ask for an interview, all should be fine

I hope anyway,

Mines been pending approval after document checks since 29th November

I fly out on Monday 😬

It depends on your luck. Some have received their DTV while they were in Thailand. There’s also a chance the embassy may want further information or call you for an interview. So far nobody has posted on the group saying that their visa was refused because they were in Thailand, so you never know. Ideally you should be staying in Hong Kong till a decision is made.
