RE-ENTRY NON-O (+ extension)
Hi, am currently on a 90 day Non-O visa (not extended yet) but need to go abroad for work. Will apply for a re-entry permit at DMK before I leave.
I will apply for the non-o extension (based on my wife's work permit) after I come back in June. Was wondering if it makes sense to get the multiple re-entry permit already – as in- will it also be valid for the visa extension I'm about to get? Or will the non-o extension 'reset' the re-entry permit and I'll have to get a new one anyway?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses a query about the validity of a re-entry permit when transitioning from a 90-day Non-O visa to a longer extension based on a spouse's work permit. The responses clarify that a re-entry permit applies only to the current visa stamp, and a new re-entry permit will need to be obtained after the visa is extended. For continued travel after the extension, a multiple re-entry permit should be applied for.
